Welcome to third grade! We are so excited to have you in our class next year and look forward to meeting you!
Oftentimes, parents offer to donate supplies to the classroom. It would be very helpful if you could include the items below. Please note that these items would be donated to
your child’s classroom and shared by all children in a community manner. NO NAMES are necessary on these supplies. Please rest assured that no child will go without.
Your donation is greatly appreciated.
1 one-inch three ring binder WITH a plastic cover sleeve
2 Black & White Composition Book (Wide Ruled)
2 dozen #2 SHARPENED Ticonderoga pencils with erasers
1 set of 8, thin markers, classic colors, non-permanent
2 boxes of Crayola crayons (24 count)
12 glue sticks (Elmer’s or Post-It brands preferred)
1 pair of student Fiskar brand scissors
1 3-pack of white Pentel high polymer erasers
6 extra-fine black Sharpies
6 ultra-fine black Sharpies
1 red PLASTIC folder with 2 horizontal pockets and no prongs
8 black Expo dry erase marker
4 yellow thin tip highlighters
2 packs of 2 inch by 2 inch Post It Notes (no accordian style)
3 boxes of Kleenex type tissue
2 rolls of paper towels
3 large containers of disinfecting cleaning wipes for desks
1 set of headphones for technology use (no ear buds please)
$5.00 donation for teacher purchased pencil box
$10.00 for LAE Student Planner (Minder Binder) checks payable to LAUSD
We anticipate a fantastic school year and are eager to meet you on August 14.

A couple of things to keep in mind when ordering your third grade supplies, comsumable school supplies tend to run out long before the school year ends so take advantage of the back to school
offers and stock up on the basic supplies, your child's third grade teacher at Los Alamitos Elementary will thank you for that, and more importantly, your child's presence is the most important thing, the supplies are third to that and your teacher will
be more than understanding if you are unable to purchase all of the supplies on the list. Have a wonderful, safe and happy school year!
